The October Orange Rag Is Here! – Legal IT Insider

Hi and welcome to the October 2025 issue of the Orange Rag, published 30 years after the very first issue came out in October 1995.

I’m incredibly proud of our history and legacy. The publication was famously founded by Charles Christian and the first Orange Rag – published in print before most law firms had a website – was two pages long. Take a look at our top story in this commemorative issue to find out what the issue du jour was. There’s some hilarity in there too, as people learned how to use websites, with everything that could and did go wrong around that. I took over as editor of Legal IT Insider in 2014 and I’m also incredibly proud of how far the publication has come in the last few years. We have daily news on the website, as ever, but also a fast-growing TalkingTech offering made up of webinars, product demos and podcasts. We’re doing more in-person events than ever and our 30th anniversary party opens up the pathway for smaller scale TalkingTech Lives, in which we will dig deep into the issues law firms are facing in this new era of technology.

We have some really exciting announcements coming up – stay tuned. We are staying grounded in our history while embracing the future with open arms. I am grateful to all of our readers for your support, we put you first in every decision we make, and hopefully that shows.
