Definely has appointed John Connolly as chief product officer (CPO), effective immediately, the UK-founded legal tech solutions company announced today (16 February).
Connolly joins Definely with over 20 years of product experience, most recently as director of product management at Meta, where he led the account integrity (Trust & Safety) team, covering all Facebook, Instagram, and advertiser accounts globally. Before Meta, he served as CPO for multiple VC and PE-backed scale-ups, including SaaS bookkeeping scale-up Dext, AI drug discovery company BenevolentAI, and blockchain analytics provider Elliptic.
Definely, which in simple terms makes documents easier to read and edit within Microsoft Word, raised a $7m Series A in May 2024 and a $30m Series B in June 2025. Connolly will be driving product strategy as they focus on continuing to grow revenue and customer base, particularly in North America, but also with a focus on Europe and APAC.
