Legal AI platform Legora today (7 November) announced a new feature called “Legora Portal”. The Portal is a collaboration space which is accessible to both law firms and their clients, which can be white labelled so it feels like an extension of the firm. Law firms will be able to publish workflows, playbooks and other content which clients can directly access. Still in its design phase with a group of firms including Bird & Bird, Cleary Gottlieb, Deloitte, Linklaters, MinterEllison and others, the feature is set to become available to all customers in Q1 2026.
Max Junestrand, CEO and founder of Legora told us that more than a collaboration tool, the Portal will be a way for law firms to scale their expertise and knowledge into products which can be monetised. “It is taking a tool that an individual uses to a much broader place,” he said.
Hélder Santos, global head of legal technology and innovation at Bird & Bird, who has had access to the Portal for five months, told us that he can see the potential for this but observed “We are not even talking with clients about how to cost this yet.”
Santos says the firm’s experience with the Portal so far is good and it will help meet demands from its clients who want to leverage both Bird & Bird’s knowledge and its AI capabilities. The firm hopes to make the Portal available to a close group of clients soon, but for now, testing is internal while the firm figures out the practicalities of offering self-service solutions to clients. The main use-cases the firm has trialed so far are document review and due diligence.
The announcement comes hot on the heels of Legora’s $150m Series C and its inaugural summit, “Precedent” which was held yesterday (6 November) in New York City.
